After being unable to start my Honda generator while camping at Lake Cachuma, I asked around about a repair shop and was directed to Solvang Mower. Although it took a bit of ingenuity to find the shop in downtown Solvang, I presented the generator to their competent and knowledgeable staff and was told it had stale gas and clogged carburetor. They sprayed a starter fluid and turned a screw under the carburetors to open the gas flow lines, then closed it. 2 pulls on the generator and it started right up! They siphoned off the stale gas and recommended not using cheaper low octane, but rather 91 octane. They said “no charge” when I asked how much I owed for their service. I was in shock, about not being charged. Then they said “enjoy your camping trip at Lake Cachuma”. I’m forever grateful for the kindness and expert help given to us. It’s just an experience I learned so much from. THANK YOU, SOLVANG MOWER!!!!
