International Freshman I am a international student and will be coming to the states for the first time. I will reach Irvine on 11th Sep and looking for things do before Ispop(which is on 18th). I will be coming with my dad and looking places to stay before i get the dorms. Any hotel recommendations(decent clean place preferably near campus). Can I get a uci id before ispop so i could availl student discounts. I am also planning to open a bank account and getting a mobile phone no. What are good bank options and carrer options? (Any recommendations or tips are welcomed) Also what is the process of getting a California driving license( though I am not getting a car freshman year). Are there any good places around irvine to eat(ig meal plan will only start at Ispop) Any other tips in general for living in America or UCI for an international student will be appreciated. Ok everyone, Im really having trouble finding info online and because I think we can all agree going to the location unprepared never works... can anyone tell me what I need to get my California drivers license and my car smog checked and all that. About to drive to Baja in our RV! Any tips for Mexican insurance? My US provider recommended MexPro, however they have given me three different priced quotes and am so confused.
