Where passion and fate met, a vineyard was born. Parents Harry and Lee Ann's dreams were achieved in 1994 when they, and their ten year old son Matt moved to the Santa Ynez Valley.

Blessed to watch vines take root around the surrounding Santa Barbara County Landscape, the McKinney's joined-in with the local viticulture movement.

In 2010 Matt won a bet with his father after winning the Pro Puerto Rican Volleyball Championship. He was then allowed to plant their first vineyard on the home property of Syrah & Viognier.

Three years later Matt decided to move home to get into the wine industry full time. The McKinney's are now sharing their experience and passion with all, producing wines of exceptional quality and character. Working with Bordeaux, Rhone and Burgundy varietals, Matt, as the winemaker, sources grapes from the 5 unique Santa Barbara County AVA's to highlight the best of SBC viticulture.
