I drove in from Los Angeles on a Wednesday for a project I was working on at a local ranch in Los Olivos. I was scheduled to leave that Friday. My Audi RS7 had a failure of an oil separator(known issue with RS line) that necessitated a garage visit. John Duthie was very cordial over the phone and told me to bring it in even though they were closing in 30 minutes. From the moment I arrived at Olivera’s I was treated like the most important client even though John knew he probably wouldn’t be able to get the parts within the time I’d be in town. He let me know this right away and provided me with some great options to deal with the car while I was working remotely. He suggested I lock the car up and leave it right in front of Olivera’s window until the flatbed tow truck could pick it up for the long haul back to LA. He even looked up the code number for the failed part that he found by doing some internet research on an Audi owner’s forum. This code literally saved me about $3500 at the dealer when I presented it to them. They wouldn’t have covered the work because my 2016 RS7 is out of warranty but because of John’s honesty and integrity I was given amazing advice that saved me a TON of money. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU John!
