Company Description

Oak Cottage Memory Care provides individualized residential care for seniors challenged with age-related cognitive impairment, specializing in Alzheimer's and dementia care. Emphasis is placed on respect for our residents, and acceptance of who they are today, as they continue their life journey. We create an atmosphere of caring and compassion for our residents through every stage of their memory loss. The community is broken up into three approachable intimate neighborhoods, and will include programs that focus on quality of life, daily achievement, warmth and comfort. A full time nurse, as well as experienced staff, will supervise a custodial program that oversees medications, works with the resident's physicians to monitor physical and cognitive health, and coordinates Hospice care as needed. Meals will include homemade and local farm to table options and can be customized to fit each resident's preferences and needs. Activities will include both a focus on maintaining skill-sets and those activities dear to our residents, as well as new opportunities in which to appreciate the beauty of Santa Barbara.
