Winning Makes is a premier classic automobile repair and restoration company with the experience and reputation for producing winning results. Our depth of hands-on knowledge and our attention to detail sets us well ahead of the rest.

Preservation, restoration and repair of primarily European vintage vehicles is carried out from a fully equipped and staffed facility in Santa Barbara, California. The Winning Makes workshop is housed in an historic garage at Santa Barbara’s East Beach. Originally constructed in 1931 as the carriage house of the landmark Mar Monte Hotel, the 5000 square feet building has been home to Winning Makes for 22 years.

Our appreciation and enthusiasm for classic automobiles knows no boundaries. We recognize that vintage cars are not only rapidly gaining in value as financial assets but many are also gathering significance as works of art. We want to inspire our clients to drive their cars on a regular basis and to encourage regular preventative maintenance in order to maximize their enjoyment. Our approach to each classic car is as individualized as our clients because we are well aware of the many different philosophies regarding preservation and restoration work. With our 22 years of experience we can help owners clarify and achieve their goal, whether it be the sympathetic preservation of an original car, the full race preparation of a competition car, or the addition of modern safety features to a vehicle of an earlier era.
